#3 Bank of Canada Rates
As predicted here, the Bank of Canada rate stayed the same for another reporting period. The economy is strong across the main economic areas of the country and our export and import markets are both very strong. We should see the Canadian dollar calm down a bit for the next few months during the Federal Politicians' 'quiet period' and the continued strength of our oil patch.
One thing to pay special note of is the subtle manipulation of the job market by the Federal Government. We have seen a small loss in jobs in the manufacturing areas of the country, however the government has added tens of thousands of new employees to their payrolls to balance it off and make it all look good.
We will continue to keep a close eye on this and the many other economic indicators we watch for real estate investors... with a full update coming to all subscribers very soon!
