Don Campbell is a man with a mission. He grew up in Western Canada and now has a national real estate consulting business. REIN™ teaches people to be successful real estate investors and one of the primary principles he not only espouses but practices too, is that to be successful one must give back to the community.
Five years ago when real estate prices started to climb, Don knew this would affect affordability for lower-income earners, so he looked for a project that would address that emerging need. Habitat for Humanity was the perfect fit.
Don’s first commitment was to donate 100 percent of the author royalties from his best selling book Real Estate Investing in Canada. Then came support from other members of REIN™ from across Canada which resulted in $311,000 in donations in 2006 and 2007. Now REIN™ has set a new goal and is committed to raising a total of $500,000! This is one of the largest single gifts on record for HfH-E.
The funding received to-date has been directed to the first two Women Build projects in Edmonton (2006 and 2007). These projects change the lives of the families who move into the homes, help revitalize the communities the homes are built in, and help women become more involved in the building process. More than 1200 women have participated in Women Build over the last two years.
Thank-you REIN™!
